All these discounted point promotions sound great, but keep in mind that devaluations can come at any time (and this is especially true with Marriott which increases hotel categories throughout the year without any advance warning). Additionally, my understanding is that if any company filed for bankruptcy, then they are are no longer obligated to redeem any existing points.
