YOU KNOW THE THING...
@Kobe bryent It's funny when you post some of Biden's unintentional gaffes, but with this video you've  removed the context.  The video purports to show that Biden doesn't know the words of the pledge of allegiance, but that's not what actually happened

Trump had minimized the death toll of covid, saying "If you take the blue states out, we're at a level that I don't think anybody in the world would be at. We're really at a very low level. But some of the states, they were blue states and blue-state-managed"

Biden criticized this view as suggesting that Trump cares only about deaths in the red states, but he cares about the whole country.  I highlighted the part you clipped in the video:

"He’s saying, if you live in a state like Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, states with Democratic governors, you’re not his problem.... I don’t see the presidency that way. I don’t pledge allegiance to red states of America or blue states of America, I pledge allegiance to the United States of America. One nation, indivisible, under Gd, for real. I’m running as a proud Democrat, but I’m not going to govern as a Democratic president, I’m going to govern as president."

It's clear he was not reciting the pledge, but using the words of the pledge as part of his speech.  Your clip is misleading.

I'm not sure why you believe I have "removed the context"
This is the entire clip. Feel free to reach out to the Trump campaign with any issues.
As for him knowing the pledge of allegiance, or where he is at any given moment, feel free to look up thread.

Sorry, didn't mean to blame you. I see now that it comes from the Trump campaign.  Maybe next time you can include your sources.

They clipped out 9 seconds of a speech in which Biden includes some words of the pledge, and titled it "Joe Biden completely botches the pledge of allegiance."  But he was not reciting the pledge, and anyone hearing the previous few seconds would know that.

It's obvious why the Trump campaign would want to manipulate a video to make Biden look foolish, but it's not obvious why you would want to post it.

So Trump can't manipulate a video of a speech in which Biden was manipulating his words? Seems very fair to me...

Unless you don't think Biden was manipulating and Trump really doesn't care about the deaths in blue states, instead making a point that the blue states were badly managed

I'm not criticizing Trump's manipulation of the video.  I just think it's inappropriate to post a manipulated video to this thread, and wanted DDF readers to understand that it was misleading.

This thread started as a venue for poking fun at Biden's gaffes.    Laughing at this is not my idea of entertainment, but I recognize that others do find it funny.  (I'm a pretty inept speaker myself, so feel empathy with others who misspeak and get that deer-in-the-headlights look when in front of a crowd.  Been there, done that, too many times.)  But this video wasn't a gaffe, an instance of Biden unintentionally saying something foolish.  Rather it was an intentional manipulation of what he said, for the purpose of making us think that he was saying something foolish.

Other posters questioned Biden's cognitive abilities and possible dementia, certainly a serious and worthwhile topic to consider in choosing a president.  It would contribute to this discussion if we had accurate depictions of Biden's ability or inability to convey information, think deeply about a problem, formulate ideas, etc.  This video tells us more about the Trump campaign's video skills than about Biden's cognitive skills.

@biobook very well said as usual. Hopefully there's some real meat after the debate. Please don't take this the wrong way.

Why on the debate stage he seemed so normal yet he is continuously looking like a real old forgetful man on live TV.  Was he drugged up by the debate?
