Quote from: RavYisroelReisman
It is very crucial that people go with an Ayin Tov. Many of us are nervous. We have been in cabin fever for two months and we are not in our normal spirit of joy. I am so afraid that people are going to come to Shul and see someone else may be standing too close or with a mask that is not properly worn or without a mask. That such people are going to end up being involved in a Machlokes. Chas V’shalom, Machlokes is far more dangerous than any virus in the world. Machlokes between Yidden especially if people are going to have a Machlokes in Shul. Please, when we go back to Shul do it with an Ayin Tov. Bring Beracha to everyone around you. It should be with a great joy and a great Hatzlacha.

meanwhile:

Rabbi Reisman's shul is my shul the Rav was coordinating all the minyanim since Thursday between the main shul, ezras nashim, and simcha hall.
I've seen him at almost every minyan so far and everyone is keeping to all his guidelines. Everyone at every minyan was wearing a mask.
Rabbi Reisman is doing an amazing job!

Seeing this kiddush thing time and again makes me wonder where has this become the new normal? The shuls I know only have kiddushim when there's a Baal simcha giving kiddush. Really? The shul serving cholent every week? And how is the morning seuda look like on a full stomach?
well its the minhag, by hook or by crook kiddush must be served, and it must have something hot kugel is preferred but cholent also works
L'chaim: wine only (it shouldn't get to were some kiddush clucbs are)

you are not required to stuff yourself to a point that you cant eat the seudah, that up to you

And the whole shul sits down to make kiddush or only those really close with the baal simcha?
Generally the whole shul unless it’s a house kiddush which is more limited. Many don’t necessarily know the Baal Simcha, at least not well. If it’s in shul it’s pretty much considered to be for the whole shul in my neighborhood.

Here in Israel, although shuls have been opened for almost a month, block minyanim are still the primary way for people to daven.

Article is a bit unclear. What are the rules for "phase 2 industries" that they are comraring to? Also the article references BLM which being that those protests are technically against the law, it doesn't seem relevant to the injunction.

Selective enforcement is also a constitutional violation.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I think the ruling may be being read incorrectly. As I understand it, he was barred from treating shuls differently than any other indoor regulation with regards to the restrictions and enforcement. The protests I've seen were all outdoors, which would make the comparison moot. I could be wrong, but that's what I got from a quick glance.

Fair Lawn, NJ (Bergen County)
First laining, outdoor, 1 person lined and had all aliyos while wearing mask and face shield.

Everyone else masks + distance.

Talks of trying to move inside in 1-2 more weeks.

not everything people do makes sense.... I see plenty of people wearing masks while driving their personal vehicles alone.

That's what they thought in Texas. We need to be careful here.

Between the last 2 months and until a vaccine comes out there will be 0 difference health wise. So I hope you have enough masks
