120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

Was thinking that, but then they would lose the feed when posting.
Is there a chat component you could embed, that would let them ask qs without the page refreshing?

You can install a live chat thing like intercom or similar
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

This might require a bit more of a commitment, but might work out much cleaner:

How about break it up into two YouTube sessions. First the initial shiur, and give a link to ask questions (possibly post them somewhere online to have more intelligent questioning, such as follow up questions, and less duplicate questions). Second shiur to address the questions asked, after moderation was done at a relaxed pace offline.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

After a ton of research specifically for a project I'm working on, I realized that Zoom has a webinar option. It comes out to about $150 for 500 participants, $350 for 1,000 participants etc. The Webinar option has a Q&A panel for only the host to see the questions. All participants are in the dark unless host calls on them.
I also figured out that zoom has an option to live stream the main panel to YouTube Live, Facebook Live etc.

What about zoom webinars, or gotowebinar, or something? They all have Q&A or chat features.

How many people do you think would join live @Dan ?
It might get pricey for a large crowd vs YouTube/Facebook being free

No idea, but it's tough to beat free.
Maybe emailing me questions will have to do.
