I'm a little bit late to the game, but I just watched the clip, what a coldblooded murder!!

Frankly, I'm a little bit shocked of the calmly protesting voices of the bystander's, my immediate instinct was to jump into the screen and push this animal's limb off this hapless man's neck. Which ironically, as a matter of fact, if I was successful with that, and George's life would have been spared, then this would be a non-news, and I would be sentenced to many years in prison for assaulting an officer.

I no nothing about law but sometimes they try to overcharge a crime and I guess the strategy is to see what sticks or to scare the defendant, but here it seems like they didn’t do that at all, anyone know the logic behind it?

Probably because if they charge him with murder one he'll be acquitted (if he gets a fair trial) and the riots will start all over again.

I didn't watch, but I heard about it. We are a country of laws, so this needs to go through the legal system, but there's some serious soul searching that needs to be done about police recruitment and training.

And the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, that wrote that there were "no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation"; however, the combined effects of being pinned down by an officer as well as "his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death" should be investigated by the FBI, and assigned to desk duties until the corruption investigation is fully completed.
