I don't know when I might be flying (probably when I know I can go to EY without having to quarantine), but I do need (a) usable mask(s) I.e. one that will allow me to breath and will not be painful to wear.
If you find one, let me know

Yes, except for mealtime.
And most require it from the time of check-in.

Hardly an enjoyable experience.
Although officially requiring, many airlines advised their FA's not to enforce

Sounds like a good way to make a scene on the plane, even if they don't write you up.

@UnitedAirlines are you going to break noses if people don't wear masks?

Maybe they should bring back the $10,000 vouchers...
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

You wont be suprised, there are some not wearing masks and FA's dont really care.

Many of the PPL flying now are not exactly that worried about Covid.

I flew this weekend. I have antibodies so I wasn't worried. The only real inconvenience is having to wear the mask.

Btw, I did see some people take it off once they were in there seat (including 2 people in my row) and didn't seem like anyone made a big deal about it. This was Delta.

“If you’re going back out to restaurants again and that sort of thing there's no particular reason why flying is more dangerous to you,” Seth Kaplan, an airline expert and transportation analysis told FOX Business.

“The air on airplanes is actually rather clean and it's designed to prevent the spread of disease. The reason you get sick on an airplane is because you’re sitting right next to someone who's sick or because you touched a surface that someone who’s sick did. It’s the people around you. Whether you’re on an airplane or somewhere else," Kaplan explained.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines say that people may be less likely to contract a virus on a flight because of how the air is circulated and filtered on airplanes, but they may be more likely to get sick from being in close contact with others on airport security lines or from coming in contact with frequently touched surfaces.

Right, I always sit a few cm away from a stranger at a restaurant.

What a load of stupidity. "Airplanes are totally safe, it's just there's this thing called people who are sitting right next to you that's the problem. But airplanes themselves? Totally safe."

In the NYTimes survey that was mentioned yesterday, epidemiologists were asked when they expect to next travel by airplane, if there were no change in COVID treatment or vaccines.

20% said by this summer
44% said within 3-12 months
37% said they'd wait at least a year

But it should be noted that 70% of them said they were either high-risk, or lived with someone who was.

thats all nice but I would faster make my decision based on people who know the facts as they relate to aircraft than laymen’s opinion or feelings.

In what sense do you consider epidemiologists to be laymen?  They specialize in research on how disease spreads from one person to another.

I think you read it too quickly. The survey questions were asked to Epidemiologists.

Sorry, I wrote that too quickly.
I wrote "Epidemiologists were asked....", which might be scanned as "Epidemiologists asked..."
I should have written "The survey asked epidemiologists..."

Active voice usually gets the message across better than the passive voice that I used.

That's a shame. Would be good to exactly know how many of them are quacks.
