That's a shame. Would be good to exactly know how many of them are quacks.

The survey was sent to members of the "Society for Epidemiologic Research and to individual scientists".  They were giving their personal opinion about what they personally would do, not providing advice to politicians or the general public.   Still, I find it illuminating.

I think you read it too quickly. The survey questions were asked to Epidemiologists.
ah, that definitely changes things...

https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/is-it-safe-to-fly-again

“If you’re going back out to restaurants again and that sort of thing there's no particular reason why flying is more dangerous to you,” Seth Kaplan, an airline expert and transportation analysis told FOX Business.

“The air on airplanes is actually rather clean and it's designed to prevent the spread of disease. The reason you get sick on an airplane is because you’re sitting right next to someone who's sick or because you touched a surface that someone who’s sick did. It’s the people around you. Whether you’re on an airplane or somewhere else," Kaplan explained.”

Love the hypocrisy. Airplanes are just like restaurants. The reason you get sick on airplanes is from surfaces or sitting close to someone sick. So in summary, go on airplanes if you go anywhere else, same risk.

I think 2020 will down in history as the year of unmasking, not the year of masks...

If you're midway through a restaurant meal and someone at the next table seems sick, you can open the door and walk right out of there.  If you're midway through a flight...  the doors are locked.

HIPAA filters would render planes safer if there is aerosolized transmission.

I think he means HEPA

That makes sense. But I couldn’t remember what HEPA was called and knew HIPPA stood for Health Information Privacy and Portability Act.

Yeah my bad
Not within several feet of you.
But 20 feet from you on a plane would be better than 20 feet away in a restaurant. Some countries only quarantine pax who were on flights with + patients if they sat a few rows near them.

Except if you're D.B. Cooper?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-
