This has been cited on April 17 as evidence that Covid 19 is manmade (SARS 1 does not have this characteristic) by Luc Montagnier, the virologist who won a Nobel Prize in 2008 for identifying HIV

Some French peers refuted his claims, but they don't provide any proof that it isn't a human made mix of HIV & Coronavirus.

I guess ultimately the question is how likely a coronavirus is to develop HIV properties independently. Montaigner seems to think it's impossible.
