I actually have smicha and did learn thru the sugya. Most normal people would not call the cops on their own shul. That's really what it comes down to

Did u personally ask the shayla and was it asked today? A month ago was very different.

Correct. I was making 2 statements. One was about the halacha. Second was just practically speaking. There was a shul near me that was never closed during corona. Never crossed my mind even for a second to call the cops.

As a practical matter I fully agree with you.

What's stopping you?
Are you not aware of any Shuls that are operating at full capacity for the last 3 months?

Everything I know is hearsay. I wouldn't call in practice on hersay, but I did at one point get such a Psak.

I also probably posted this in May when the laws were much ore restrictive. I haven't kept up with the letter of the law since then.
