+1 Not being dependent on caffeine, nicotine, or anything else is a great feeling. Not easy, but well worth it!
Allen Carr's book helped me stop smoking many years ago. I never read the one for caffeine, however I would definitely recommend it based on the one for smoking. See the link below.

Nice, good for you!

How did you get over needing the cigarette as part of a daily routine? For me that's the hardest thing to give up. In quarantine I've already gone over 2 months without a smoke without much difficulty (ok one smoke and I didn't even enjoy it). I just can't see getting back into my normal routine without it.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Went off coffee 2 years ago. Used to drink 5-10 cups a day. I sleep better & am overall less anxious & on edge.

Haven't had a single cup since, as I know once I blink once, it will be over.

Once in a while I'm excruciatingly tired and crave it, but for the most part I don't feel the desire. More than anything, I miss it as an activity. I drink non caffeinated tea as a replacement.

I drink coffee regularly, but not every day. I'll often order a latte with a meal, have a cup during a learning seder, or take one in the evening if I'm tired but still have work to do. However, I don't have a daily dependency and many days go by without me drinking any.

There are two parts to the cigarette addiction.
1. Physical
2. Mental
You seem to be suffering from # 2. Think about all the other people in the world who are able to have a good and successful day w/o a cigarette. It’s definitely not easy to stop! You have to really want to.

What about all the health benefits of drinking coffee?
Research does show that coffee is healthy, however there are lots of people who either become dependent or have negative physical feelings from it. (e.g anxiety, dehydration, etc.) and the health benefits are not worth it if it comes along with the negative in my opinion.

For lots of people coffee is great.
