For the first time in history, a private company has launched people to orbit from U.S. soil.
A rocket ship built by Elon Muskís SpaceX company thundered away from Earth with two Americans on Saturday,
NASAís Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken rode skyward aboard a white-and-black, bullet-shaped Dragon capsule on top of a Falcon 9 rocket, lifting off at 3:22 p.m. from the same launch pad used to send Apollo crews to the moon a half-century ago. Minutes later, they slipped safely into orbit.

Am I the only one who finds it fascinating to see a space station astronaut floating around preparing for for the newly arrived astronauts to disembark? I'm glued to the seemingly boring footage.

It's about to dock at the Itnl Space Station.

See live here:

Or

They will open the final hatch now and the SpaceX astronauts will enter the ISS.

I think it's interesting how much they are focusing on PR. While Space Station astronaut Chris Cassidy was working in his shorts most of the morning, he went a few minutes ago to change into his official uniform with the American flag on the sleeve. He also spent a long time making sure all the cameras in the entry area are set up.

For the first time in history, Elon Musk just infected ISS with COVID-19.

Agree! But I do understand the need. If you run out of water, you can't just go to the nearest Target and buy take another case.
