British airways
« on: May 28, 2020, 08:58:03 AM »
We hope you and your family are keeping well during these difficult times.

We’re writing to let you know about some changes to your Executive Club membership. These changes include adding an arbitration agreement and class action waiver to our Terms and Conditions from 28 May 2020.

At British Airways, we would always try to informally settle any issues that may arise. However, if that’s not possible, we require our US and Canadian Members, such as yourself, to use arbitration to resolve disputes individually – and not through a court or a class action.

You’ll be asked to accept these changes the next time you book with us on ba.com. Until then, you can also review these updated Executive Club Terms and Conditions online.

Thank you as always for your continued loyalty.

With best wishes,
Your Executive Club Team

So basically their T&C now states that you're not allowed to sue them?
Still looking for a good MS method :)

Household Account?
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

You have 2 options;

A - Call to make the booking, (Singapore center will be quickest), subject to a $25 booking fee

B - Open an Avios account for DW, then make a household account under yours & add DW's account as a member in your household account (requires email confirmation), then log back in with DW's account, your miles will show up there & you can make the booking directly from her account.

(P. S. @Dan, maybe worth making a post for this...)

So..... I went with option B, Was a PITA because a few family members decided to join on the trip so had to make accounts for everyone and took a lot of time. finally after having accounts for everyone i noticed that BA.com fooled me with pricing, they price JFK-LHR Economy for 13K AVIOS + $65 but when you hit continue it goes up to 13K AVIOS + $230....... So i left BA.com and went to Virginatlantic.com and booked smoothly for everyone for 10K VS + $150.

Also i agree to your PS that @Dan should write up on this. of course when he gets to it after/if LH will apologize to our family!

Neah! you would have been able to add them all to one booking, only the 1st passenger must be the account holder...

AH not flying

Once you book from DW's account, DW is AH & first passenger, the rest could be added.

I always got them to waive the booking fee in such situations.
