If the cop who was chasing him had a taser, it should’ve been used. However, from my watching the video, it was deployed but didn’t stop him, so the other officer fired his handgun.

Black Lives Matter should've prevented the cop from shooting that's why he deserves to be fired and charged

Hard to tell from the video who shot. The officer chasing him switched hands with the taser and drew his firearm. Either way it was poor judgement to shoot the guy when their lives were not in danger.

Not in danger? The guy was drunk and should have been arrested. After the scuffle he was probably angry/ confused. No way the cops should just let him run away. Who knows what he would've done?
If he had the chance to get into a car he would likely have hit someone
So even if the cops lives were not in danger others were..

@CountValentine I have no training so idk what else could have or should have been done under such circumstances.

From the video it seems Like the perp turns around and aims the taser at the cop. I would be surprised if the threat of being incapacitated in such a situation, doesn’t warrant the use of deadly force.
