You are the one that brought up the stereotyping someone based on how they dress. Now when your own words are turned against you it is a different story.

When a particular mode of dress is favored by gangsters, and individuals who are more likely to commit violent crimes, then it's not stereotyping to be concerned.

For example - even in their leisure time, most doctors I've seen (regardless of skin color) aren't dressed in clothing where you're not sure if they might be in a gang.

"Stereotypical" jewish clothing is not, as far as I know, associated with violent crime.

I will say that I was a young child during the 1991 Crown Heights RiotsPogrom. we got a brick through my window, landed in inches from my baby sister. we all barricaded ourselves into a single back bedroom for a few days.

that whole decade I couldn't ride my bike down the block because it would get taken from me. every. single. time. funny the thief never wore a yarmulka. speaking of yarmulkas I remember mine getting knocked off my head at 6 years old. regularly.

What about the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting? I don't think those Jews dressed in black hat, pants and coats.

What about the Poway synagogue shooting? Besides for the Rabbi, I don't think most of the Jews in that synagogue dress in black.

anti-Semitism unfortunately doesn't choose certain Jews.

Plenty of Jews have thought that it was because of the dress and therefore dropped it and tried to blend in but many have realized anti-Semitism in the workplace and elsewhere despite not dressing like Jews.

I am not the one who stereotype people on how they dressed. Hopefully you are seeing my point.

How about I put myself in the shoes of a black person who marched peacefully down our main street. They had bricks and bottles thrown at them while the police did nothing and the crowd cheered? I was just a kid and did not understand what they were doing wrong.

when I lived in Brooklyn during the " knockout" spree, I crossed the street to avoid thug looking colored people. I knew several people who were injured due to this game and there were many more. Where I currently live, no. I even go to West Roxbury to get my tires... If that makes me racist, then ok. Bottom line, I don't recall white thugs participating in the "knockout" game but I may be wrong.
