free second piece of luggage with delta american express

i will be traveling to Israel in December with Delta Airlines. I want to know if I will get a free second piece of luggage if i get the american express delta card. also, do you have to pay for the ticket using the card, or is it enough to present the credit card by check in? Thanks.

Well, on a side note, several lawmakers are now trying to pass a law prohibiting airlines from charging for a first checked bag, so you never know. (Not that the law will ever pass or anything...)

Don't waste an app just to safe on bag fees for one flight. Get an Amex Platinum and you'll get $200 which you can use toward bag fees. You'll also get 50k MR, which are worth at least $600/700.

for the record i just flew delta as a silver medallion( for transfering 100k+ of MR points ) and was allowed 3, 50 pound bags for me and another 3 for wife.

crazy... and when i flew and i didnt even know i was silver medallion at the time they gave me issues about everythin.. whered u fly btw?

let me guess you were flying between NYC and TLV with a ticket booked before Nov 1st.
