And we got the fabulous news this morning.

https://www.pfizer.com/news/press-release/press-release-detail/pfizer-and-biontech-confirm-high-efficacy-and-no-serious

Further confirmation of previous numbers. Surprising that they report efficacy against severe disease but not against death. Also, the South African strain data is iffy with only 800 participants enrolled in SA.

IMO very worrying for the pro vax community regular people.

I don’t know what cult you think people are in, but there is no pro-vax “community”. You’re mistaking us for the anti-vaxxers.

I should correct it to pro vax as proposed by the Israeli government community. So in 6 months or whenever they decide it isn't exactly 100% safe according to their standards (go figure that out...) they will suddenly shut down the schools or something. I'm not anti vax in general, the issue is when things get this politicized and authoritarian. This is very clearly experimental medicine on some level. They are effectively mandating it, that's not OK.

Next argument?

When you're trying to save lives and the economy, you do what needs to be done and play things by ear if necessary.

I hear. I think liberty has a price and covid has posed the question of whether it's worth it in the most brutal way yet.

JPOST:Pfizer has halted shipments of its COVID-19 vaccine to Israel in retaliation to Israel failing to transfer payment for the last 2.5 million doses it supplied to the country.

Pfizer officials say they are concerned that the government-in-transition will not pay up and the company does not want to be taken advantage of. Adding they couldn’t comprehend how such a situation can occur in an organized country.

Nah just a small delay because the Israeli cabinet is in deadlock and isn’t convening

Bibbi is just as guilty on this one. Blame whoever you like to blame.

I would think its hard to get people to buy into a plan where there isnt even a way to measure effectiveness. How will they determine when to re-inoculate? It makes the road map even more hazy.
Effectiveness is best measured by disease prevalence (the ultimate outcome) and not seropositivity.

Real world effectivness yes. Here it's effectiveness towards government standards... Antibodies is the only measure they have used untill now and these things dont change in a day. Or they do. That doesn't help though. Everyone is scared they won't or they will in the wrong direction. Even is Israel, this level of government involvement in everyones everyday life is unprecedented.
