Maybe you should change your username for the time being

I don't see how this statement is any different than those who express similar sentiments because they don't like how the military acts.

Cabinet decides: Businesses can open, no limit to leaving home
Many lockdown restrictions to be lifted starting Sunday, including opening of beaches and parks. Decision on schools to be made later.

Quote
The Coronavirus Cabinet approved the opening of businesses which do not operate with audiences or open reception hours on Thursday afternoon as well as the abolition of the 1,000 meter limit on leaving the house.

The changes will come into effect on Sunday afternoon.

Beaches and parks will also be permitted to open. The number of worshippers allowed at the Western Wall will be increased and restaurants will be allowed to offer take out.

The ministers will vote on the reopening of the education system later this evening.

Preschools reopening! BH

Quote from: jpost
At the cabinet meeting, the ministers discussed a proposal by Interior Minister Arye Deri (Shas) to allow up to 200 people to attend "Jewish lifecycle" events in capsules of 20 people. The dialogue escalated when MK Itzik Shmuli (Labor) told Deri that his plan would not work:
"Have you ever seen a wedding in capsules? It won't happen. And that was a serious source of the outbreak in the first wave," Shmuli pressed.
Deri responded: "You probably don't understand the meaning of marriage - the sanctification of Judaism." Shmuli replied, “Do not underestimate my faith and I will not underestimate yours. I am no less a Jew."

Are 200 person weddings part of the meaning of marriage and the kedusha of yahadus?

If it is, there might be an issue with the marriage of some of our parents and grandparents.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Based on the rules the answer is yes. A connection in a red country that doesn't involve exiting the terminal building and doesn't exceed a certain number of hours can be diregarded, but once you exit the terminal (and/or enter the terminal) in a red country you are supposed to report that, and will require quarantine.

This is a relative of mine defending his sister in law on Simchas Torah outside Yagdil after she was arrested for having her mask down and being in a crowd.

Sorry to respond so late but I was walking by and witnessed part of the exchange. Arrest was totally unjustified.

Speaking from experience, the police only have the ability to look up Israeli ID numbers not foreign so even if she was holding her passport, if the officer was arrogant enough she would have been arrested.

If you think for a second this is the majority opinion in Israel you would be mistaken. There are a select few individuals in the police force in Jerusalem and other few locations that behave like this. It is not the norm. As you can see here in this video of another Charedi wedding in the North the cops behaved like humans. https://krayot.mynet.co.il/local_news/article/S1Y0ZU4PD
Based on my experience up north the last week+, the culture there is very different than in urban Yerushalayim. Police there are civil and have rapport with the local communities which are smaller.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/health-ministry-source-said-to-warn-of-coming-virus-spike/

I hate stupid anonymous quotes, only meant to make people nervous and with no accountability if (when?) they are wrong. We need to hold people accountable for things like this

Quote
“We expect a significant rise in infection in the next seven to 10 days. With the level of violations we are seeing, there’s no escaping it,” the unnamed source is quoted saying by Channel 12 news.
Person should lose their job and any ability to be involved in virus decision making process if they are wrong
