ETA: In Tanach there is generally no such concept of 'not accepted Pshat'. The Pasuk means more than one thing and explaining it one way doesn't mean not accepting the other Pshat. Each one is just as relevant as the other.

ETA: My Rebbi once taught me the Torah is the ruler. If something seems wrong to you but the Torah calls it right, you have to readjust your perceptions of right and wrong.

That's fine but not a reason to ignore the negative, especially when we have the power to change it. Shaming from this death resulted in one of the loudest anti vaccinators retracting. It worked.
