Apparently a large proportion of the anti-vaxxers in Israel are Russian.

Russians tend to be suspicious of government/establishment. And rightfully so, their own failed them so miserably that it became a mindset/survival tactic to pave your own way.

Israel so far 7.4% positive, but far fewer tests today, so rate is likely even lower. Only 2k positive so far today. 139k vaccines as of 10 pm.

Pfizer is getting so much good press out of the reports and studies out of Israel. No wonder they made the deal. Moderna, you don't hear from. Israel looks like doesn't care for them anymore now and put the 100k doses in storage.

My current favorite hobby is reading the pashkevilin against the vaccine, and finding what they have wrong. The total non-comprehension of scientific terms, cluelessness in math and statistics, mistaking anecdotes for data...

This weeks poster was trying to show that the Vax doesn't work by comparing the daily total number of new infections and deaths in Israel as compared to in the PA since the start of the Vax drive.
Comparing absolute numbers with an area with a third to a half the population and much worse testing and has a significantly younger population

Of course, but even though Israel got an incredible windfall and has vaccines available for everybody, people are their worst enemies and are refusing to jump onto the lifeboat. Hashem gave us a rescue line, and people are refusing to grab it

Many people have valid reasons for not wanting to vaccinate at the moment.  There are quite a number of Rabbonim who feel that taking such a new vaccine is extremely risky, and that therefore each case needs to be evaluated individually to determine which risk is greater - especially for people with severe allergies, or who had Covid already (even if they did not take a test through the Misrad Habriut).  The askan we spoke to told my hubby and I to vaccinate, since he is high risk and works among people who are not particularly careful, but many others who asked the same askan were told to wait.  They are also not currently vaccinating people who have already had Covid, as well as people with certain medical issues, according to the nurse who gave me the first shot.  Hopefully it will all get worked out soon, or better still, become a moot point with the coming of Moshiach!

I think it’s bc the legal counsel deep state is pushing back on pretense of individual freedom. They were considering allowing anybody into malls but non-essential stores inside would have to check for a green passport, maybe that was just too infeasible
