What's most amazing that cases are growing at the same rate as the prior waves when there was no vaccine, and then it was caused by the Charedim.

Real difference is that there are no restrictions now. No restrictions then would have been an utter catastrophe.
The biggest difference is Delta variant - I can't imagine what last March would have looked like if we started with Delta. (It would have looked a lot like India from a couple of months ago)

There is no way we make it to Rosh Hashannah at this rate.
If they hold off until then, we will probably be on the downswing naturally

How many vaxxed are in the hospital? How many ineligible to be vaxxed are in the hospital? Shouldn't those be the metrics to care about?

One issue with that, is that it takes about 30 days after a rise in cases to get numbers on that....

I don't think you're right about this. People who end up hospitalized with COVID are typically admitted within a week from testing positive.

The data comparing vaxed to non-vaxed is all available in the enhanced dashboard.

With increased transmissibility a lockdown may not actually work

I don't think you're right about this. People who end up hospitalized with COVID are typically admitted within a week from testing positive.
His 30 days figure is taking into account waves typically start with lower risk demographics

That doesn't show if they were Covid positive before.

They might be a bit late with this 3rd shot thingy. By the time they administer the 3rd shot to the 1mm+ people they plan on giving it to, add 2 weeks for the shot’s effect to kick in, this Delta wave might have already peaked.

mRNA booster shots every six months are not-sustainable. At what point do we start questioning the safety of such a strategy? To me it seems unprecedented and even if on a grand scale the 2-dose regiment is relatively very safe, repeated shots might put that safety into question.

As this becomes endemic, a major question will be how long natural immunity lasts for.

Do the experts agree that’s a given at this point?
