Or Omicron is not really a deadly strain. It's hard to know which.
You can check the numbers among those with no immunity. Especially if you include hospitalization numbers.
Feelings don't care about your facts

Are home antigen tests conducted with a telehealth professional acceptable for entry into Israel?

Pretty sure officially not. Israel is big into differentiating 'supervised antigen' (מוסדי) from at-home tests. Odds are airline wouldn't know the difference though.

71.5k new cases yesterday.

Setting world records.

Deaths are still extremely low bh. Vaccines work.
Does testing positive on a supervised antigen count in the 71k? Or only when it gets confirmed through PCR?

Yes. One of the only countries in the world that does it, hence the record stats

The supervised tests give you "official results" to print or scan similar to getting an antigen test done at a local health facility. Would the airlines actually care?

They don't care. At least the US airlines, not sure about LY.

Somehow all the airlines in TLV have a made up rule that's the results have to be in English

https://hamodia.com/2022/01/20/government-mulls-canceling-quarantine-for-unvaccinated-children/

"Israeli schoolchildren will no longer have to quarantine after exposure to COVID-19, the government announced Thursday.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton agreed that as of next Thursday, all children up to age 18, whether vaccinated or not, will no longer need to self-isolate after coming into contact with a verified coronavirus case, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Instead, they will be required to undergo a series of three antigen tests, on the first, third and fifth day following the exposure. They will have to stay home only if they display symptoms."

83k cases in Israel yesterday.

23.23% positive.

😱

Serious cases at 814, shooting past delta peak.

Deaths also on the increase.

Arab cases are taking off now like a rocket.
Charedi cases dropping sharply.

Shabbos had 67k cases. A huge increase over the prior Shabbos.

Today is Monday. Does Israel pass 100k daily cases today?

Undoubtedly. At 100k cases per day which is likely many multiples of that if you include asymptomatics, you run out of people to infect pretty quickly in a small country like Israel.

We would know about that by now if that were possible.

It might take a while for immunity to wane enough for an Omicron reinfection to be identified.

Hopefully cases will be sporadic by the time we get there.

Obviously protection won't last forever, but it would be very surprising to see mass reinfections from the same variant in the near term.

Agreed. Cautious optimism here.

Wishing Biden (or his puppeteers) who are such vaccine proponents would push for OWS 2.0, and a pan-coronavirus vaccine (some of which are already being developed).

Charedim are only 3% of yesterday's 76k cases in Israel.

Cases shot up and then plummeting.
