But I do believe a majority of people protesting to defund police mean they want to ban the police.

That is what I what addressed. When you talk about that it does not mean getting rid of all police. It is a ploy of the right to paint it that way.
If that is what the op meant then the title should be "Is getting rid of all police the answer to racism"?
