I transferred 70K points to Flying Blue today and tried making a points booking with AF. I got all the way to checkout when it threw an error and said I needed to call to complete the booking. An agent was able to confirm availability and put my booking on hold but he said he could not complete it because my account is in a "suspected fraud hold" state. He gave me an email address to contact the fraud department to have them release the fraud hold but he said it could take 7 days for them to reply. Meanwhile, my booking hold is only good for 4 days. He said there is no phone number to reach the fraud department, only this email address. Has anyone had success getting a response from the fraud department and can share how long it took? Any other ways around this?
So it's been 4 weeks and still radio silence from Flying Blue. Can't login to my account and they are holding my 70K miles hostage. Air France can't help and can't escalate and says the only thing I can do is wait for an answer. I tried emailing various FB boards members and random departments but no answer. Couldn't find an email for the office of the CEO as suggested by
@SHL. Before I go the nuclear option and open a case with the DOT and European Commission, is there anything else I can do?
I can't believe that FB has been doing this to customers for 10 years and there has never been an investigation into their unfair practices. Time for a DDMS post?
