The Holocaust refers to the systematic elimination of the Jewish people by the Nazis. No more, no less.

So the Holocaust does take into account the millions of non-Jews that were murdered. Is there a word that takes them into account? I know it is not "final solution".

The point is to others the Holocaust will mean different things to them. In this country when say "Holocaust" most will say it is talking about the Jews. The same will be said about slavery that it is talking about the blacks.
