Fair point but even in print it hard to find unbiased reporting.

If the numbers are meaningless.... how can all the dashboards monitoring them be useful?

We have not put in a huge unit with mini splits yet (all we have is one big split unit) but we plan on covering the whole house in mini split units. Probably by next summer. I'll report back then if the bathrooms and hallways got any cooler.

I think so. I've had good experiences as long as you leave the doors open (when not in use)

Dont know if it's always like this or in a larger house it may not spread.

I think minisplits and ceiling fans pair well

What can I do with my positive IgG antibody test? Doesn't currently help me for the main purpose that I wanted, which is the ability to visit EY without a 14 day quarantine.

Some schools/camps require it for entry I believe

Split units can be ducted too and will cover all those areas, very popular today actually.

If paying for duct work what's the benefit over standard AC? Some have multiple smaller units to allow for multiple zones?

Not that I'm aware of, but even if they did, that still doesn't explain any usefulness for an adult.

Whose anxiety are we talking about? Remember, we're talking about people that know they had it and recovered. What's there to be anxious about going forward? And how does the antibody test make any difference?

The only people I know who are anxious are those that haven't contracted Covid.

I thought Mt. Sinai was doing it in NY months ago.

Obviously, if I knew that I could donate plasma and actually help someone that might make me feel good (as far as I understand there's no proof yet that this works). But when I tested for Mt. Sinai I never got a call back, either because they didn't find antibodies, or maybe because the number was too low (or for whatever other reason). I tested with my PCP in hopes of it allowing me to visit EY without a 14-day quarantine, but the emails I got back from the Israeli Ministry of Health say clearly that they don't consider antibody tests at all in requests to shorten quarantine. Unless one has a positive PCR test followed by a negative PCR test, there's not early exit from quarantine.

It might, which is why I got it done. But so far it has proven useless.

All logic is totally out the window. Israeli Ministry of Health says that this is what their professional advisors decided, and there's no overruling it. I can present with 10 consecutive negative PCR tests and a positive antibody test, if I didn't have a positive PCR test there's no way to be allowed to exit quarantine earlier than 14 days (nor to board a flight back to the US without special approval).

I had no way of knowing I had had it until I took the antibody test. I'm sure many are in the same boat.
