How many people who go to food distributions need it? [POLL]

FULL DISCLOSURE: I understand these distributions are for everyone in any financial situation without discretion. And only bc this poll can be anonymous is it appropriate to do it. I'm just very curious to know what percentage of DDFers find it essential to bridge their financial situation right now with the food giveouts, to those who dont.

+1 first week or two until schools started giving out, the kids emptied the fridge like every day. We didn't even know how much food is needed for 3 meals daily for all the kids. Also much easier to tell the kids what's on the menu for lunch instead of all their opinions

+100 and (depending on the kids I guess) they are excited to eat whatever it is because it comes from "school".

It’s cheap, “nutritious”, and will keep the kids excited about these otherwise-plain meals for eternity.

Um. I think its a bit unhealthy the amount they are giving.  My kids drink almost every day and i still have a freezer full of those

These distributions give us an 'excuse' to get the kids out of the house a couple of times a week for pickup is a great benefit as well 

Since this program is not income based, and the reality is that EVERYONE is having a difficult time these months (financially, emotionally, or just by being home all day!), and the schools, at least in my neighborhood, are giving practical and great boxes, there should be zero hesitancy by anyone to enjoy the free boxes. It's available to anyone and is a win for everyone involved.

I don't view it as "food give outs" its the regular school lunch program which is funded by taxes at least in NJ. Its a win win for everyone. The schools are making money and there is more than enough food to go around.

It’s 1% milk fat. Otherwise the kids don’t want it so they bombard it with sugar and it meets the government guidelines for “healthy “ milk
