I don't view it as "food give outs" its the regular school lunch program which is funded by taxes at least in NJ. Its a win win for everyone. The schools are making money and there is more than enough food to go around.

This is because your location is "not Lakewood".  My kids turn their noses at almost everything we got here in Lakewood, and I don't blame them.

The food at distributions has been pretty good overall, and if you don’t like what they’re serving at one any day you can just go to another.

Most of it is food straight from restaurants.

We can make all sorts of nice arguments such as. One is obligated to pick up food in order to benefit our local schools as we are required to support our local institutions. This would apply even if you will not eat it.

I think saying win-win without paying attention to the ones actually paying for it is slightly disingenuous. Do you believe in Medicare for all, or other forms of socialism?

Did someone suggest individuals should think twice before taking? Please do point to where you saw that.

Also, do you believe that because corporations do things those actions must be right? Or if people does wrong on a large scale that permits committing similar wrongs on a smaller scale?

Why don’t you just go to the open to the public places? There are some fantastic lunch pickups around town
