I voted No.

Proud american is a very strong word.

Don't get me wrong, I love living here and I  think America is an awesome country. But again I also love to go shopping in my neighborhood grocery store, and I Love Fios Gigabit speed.
But proud? That word means so much more than that, I am proud of my family, I am proud of my achievements.
But  I am not necessarily proud with being an American, I love living here But if I wake up to find myself in another country, I might not be as happy as before, but that's about it.

Are you really a *proud* American? Think well about the word Proud.

YES!
Great! It's definitely a nice thing.

I Just don't have that feeling in my heart, and I suspect a lot of people after thinking about the definition of pride, will say the same.

I fully understand what you are saying. I give you credit for not basing it on politics.
