I'm guessing in stricter chassidish sects, fewer people date, even if they don't view themselves as very right-wing.
I hope it isn't a cause for friction. Like, why can't you bishow like your brother/sister/parents instead of modernizing and taking her out to a hotel....

my friend was having a bad date and he lives in 5 towns , girl lives in passaic. i think he went to manhatten for the date (about the middle). he programmed his waze and set off to drop her off. he started passing citi field before he realized he put in his home as the destination instead of hers..(check a map, thats a pretty big mistake)

(Reminds me of the joke/ story where a girl stepped into traffic on a busy Manhattan street and didn't hear him screaming spat the last second with a truck barreling towards them he grabbed her arm and pulled to safety  and she told the shadchan she was dumping him as he had touched her....)

Kind of same thing, they both jumped up trying to snuff it out and ended up very much touching. But she didn't blame anyone
