  • Location: As always, silence is NOT an admission of agreement on DDF. It just means that people lack the stamina to keep on arguing with made up "facts", illogical arguments, deceiving statements, nasty and degrading comments, and fuzzy math. - @yelped
Leaving politics and opinions out of this, here are some things I'd like to see done to learn more about Covid:
  • Full body scans of Covid survivors, both symptomatic and asymptomatic. I feel this will be an important step in understanding the full impact of the virus, without using deaths as a benchmark for damage. Ideally this will include follow up scans to see how much of the damage is temporary or permanent.
  • A test to detect viral shed. If we're going to reopen in a significant way, the current positive/negative tests are inefficient in stopping the spread.
  • Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly antibodies tests to help determine the average lifespan of the antibodies and to see how they track compared to other coronaviruses.

What data would you like to see?

Viral shed is a given with any positive RNA test (if it's in the nose, it's getting sneezed out). The question is infectious dose, and for that we have Plaque Forming Units Assays. The challenge is that they need BL3 labs.

We need reinfection data. Ethics be d-
