From what I've heard, the non-suite rooms floor 14 and under, are pretty bad

It's a very popular destination to the extent that ppl will fly here for the purpose of going there for its health benefits, etc.
And you can't beat the cost.

Hey! Long time DD (the blog) reader, first time DDF poster!

I'm gonna be staying in the Le Meridien this Shabbat, so I spoke to the Mashgiach to clarify the Kashrut. Hope this info helps anyone that was searching around like I was.

They are certified Kosher from the local Rabbanut. (I think Ein Bokek)
The meat is NOT Glatt.
The chicken is Rabbanut Mehadrin.
The cooking is Bishul Yisrael according to the Rema, not the Beit Yosef.
The vegetables are Gush Katif. The cabbage is NOT.

I didn't understand what the Mashgiach said about the cheeses but I will ask him tomorrow. Most likely, some of the hard cheeses will not be Mehadrin.

The prices for the meals are as following: 60nis for breakfast, 75nis for Shabbat lunch, and 100nis for Friday night. Pretty cheap, actually.

Most comprehensive kashrus summary I've seen so far.

Drago: Thanks! I was surprised to see very vague descriptions of the Kashrus of the hotel, but then again, most people don't really understand how the Kashrus works here in Israel.

I have 2 questions as a newcomer:

1) What method can I use to sell a room that was booked using points. Isn't it problematic that I booked the room under my name?
2) For how long will I need to verify that I'm not a spambot in order to comment here?

Sure, but in one location is a clear fashion, and not piecemeal.

Tnuva makes chicken?
