IMHO once the Mayor was seen in a PARK with hundreds (if not thousands) of people with no mask. And the governor saying that parks can be open if the local authority gives the green light -  and there was no green light.

Dont agree to how they opened the parks? Or dont agree that the parks should be open in the first place?
For those of us that (unfortunately ) live in Brooklyn and dont have backyards, the park is a real lifesaver these days.

So were religious gatherings that he suspended because of the pandemic. If protests were dangerous in his mind then they should have been treated the same way, if not then why not open parks as well?
