I don't see the problem with Tischler doing this thing by himself, I don't think anyone takes him seriously. He's one jolly guy playing around.
The issue is the politicians who are publicly supporting him, they are the face of the community and should be careful and not stick it to the mayor.

the problem is if he draws the ire of the politicians they will take it out on all orthodox jews not just on him

Oorah is opening as a hotel, but they are actually going to run a hotel. Instead of just kids, each week will be different whole families. (They already had proper licenses for a hotel).
