Mayor Bill de Blasio says he won’t allow groups like Blue Lives Matter to paint messages of their own on city streets after commissioning “Black Lives Matter” street murals throughout the five boroughs.

But the founder of Blue Lives Matter NYC Joe Imperatrice told SILive he isn’t going to let this slide and plans to sue the city to allow them to paint “Blue Lives Matter” near NYPD headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

Well if it's meant to be equivalent to the BLM one it should be done in front of Gracie Mansion.

Bumper magnets are a great way to show support without ruining your car. (you can also remove it when you drive through a hostile neighborhood)
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

Which is the problem with "Black Lives Matter" as a slogan, implying Americans don't care about black lives.
Not addressing the neo-marxist and antisemitic organization.

Lets follow this logic.
What does blue lives matter imply, Americans don't care about blue lives?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

RIP: The search for a cop killer is underway in Cleveland, Ohio after Detective James Skernivitz and one other person were killed last night. The officers car was shot multiple times. The identity of the second person has not been released. Not long after the murder, an officer from the same police department commited suicide.

Statement from Lakewood, NJ police:

It is with an extremely heavy heart that the Lakewood Police Department announces the untimely passing of Officer Nicklas Shimonovich.

Twenty-three year old Nicklas Shimonovich was involved in an off duty motorcycle accident in Jackson Township earlier this afternoon in which he sustained life threatening injuries. He was transported to Monmouth Medical Southern Campus were he tragically succumbed to his injuries a short time later. At this time the accident is under investigation by the Jackson Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

Officer Shimonovich was hired in March of 2018 and was assigned to our Patrol Division on the evening shift. He was well respected by his peers, supervisors and the community he loved to served. We ask that you keep him and his family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Interestingly, he started out as a full-police officer, not as a Class-II officer. I don't know how these things work though.

I'm not trying to be insensitive right after his tragic passing, but this is the only additional info I was able to dig up. It's from the 2018 salary list. Just interesting. (Name, date hired, rank, salary)

Shimonovich, Jeannette   01/02/2001   Detective Sergeant   $144,127.62
Shimonovich, Nicklas   03/05/2018   Police Officer   $42,500.12
Shimonovich, Robert   01/02/2001   Police Lieutenant   $164,024.90

(In comparison, Chief Meyer makes about $220k, with senior officers making $190k)

More than 5,300 NYPD uniformed officers retired or put in their papers to leave in 2020 - a 75 percent spike from the year before, department data show.

The exodus - amid the pandemic, anti-cop hostility, riots and a skyrocketing number of NYC shootings - saw 2,600 officers say goodbye to the job and another 2,746 file for retirement, a combined 5,346.

In 2019, the NYPD had 1,509 uniformed officers leave and 1,544 file for retirement, for a total of 3,053.
