Topic Wiki

Title is misleading...
The way it looks is, you cannot change the date to a later day in the month than the day that you make the change, for example if today is June 17th and you change it to July the 17th or later, the order will get cancelled, July 16th or earlier it should be OK

Another interesting point, the order that gets created is not the current price for the item, for example a $7.99 item it created a new order at $5.40

I made a new subscription for July 21, changed to July 20 and it cancelled, My feeling is that you cant change to a later date of today's date in the next month

Just don't do it past the allotted time frame. And each month you can keep pushing it off 3 or so weeks at a time...

Does that make sense to work?
You might be right. I placed an order yesterday - moving the delivery date to July 17th resulted in an order update but the 18th resulted in a cancellation.

Today I moved the delivery date to the 18th and the order once again updated without cancelling. Will wait another week this time and see what happens when I push it off a whole week.

This I have to check if it can lower the price by doing it intentionally

ETA: Didn't work...

Is it the price that your original order was for?

It's not the exact price, but definitely based on something, for example I have 2 orders of the same item, 1 from earlier and 1 new one, both orders were created today, 1 is $5.40 before discount, the second is $7.99, bottom line any coupon previously applied is being lost

PSA: Amazon overcharging for a Deal posted on DD.
« Reply #28 on: November 23, 2020, 10:26:24 PM »
The price showed at checkout and on the order confirmation email, changed once the order shipped to me via ss. Seems like there is a glitch and Amazon dropped the $10 off of $40 discount. Wondering if anyone else experienced a similar issue?

The rep and supervisor that I chatted with refused to honor the price as shown in the confirmation email. Really weird, never had this before.

Glitches can be valuable, $150 GC-like valuable. ;) ;)

Did you change your SS date?
Yes I did. However, that has never affected the pricing for me ever before, I do this all the time.

HUCA. Just chatted with another rep who honored the original price and said that it was a system glitch..

Same happened to me, I didn't push or pull the date but I noticed the total on the order does not match the confirmation email. I am letting it sit until it arrives (set for 12/7) and I'll deal with it then.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Not sure if same issue but I had the $10 promo drop off after email confirmation on a regular order (not SS). Turns out I didn't put in the 0.01 rewards/points and even though it was still showing the promo at checkout it was removed afterwards when they charged.
