Intresting, my grandfather said a similar amount of Tehillim every day based on a few yechidus'n. I believe he said for all descendants (also repeating for those of the same age), the month, the week, and if I'm not mistaken a few other kapitlach.

In one yechidus, the Rebbe was speaking animatedly about the situation in Eretz Yisrael and appeared (in my grandfather’s words) "worked up". He asked the Rebbe, "so what can we do about it?" and the Rebbe answered to say a kapitel Tehillim.

In his first yechidus, the Rebbe told him the vort from hayom Yom, if we would know the power of Tehillim, we would say them constantly.

Sounds like they has similar yechidusin, thanks for sharing.
