Step1: Find the most controversial topics.
Step 2: See which side's proponents give the most likes.
Step 3: Re-post that side's talking points as many times as possible.
Step 4: Add some controversy to the topic so it doesn't die out.
Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.

On a completely unrelated note, I think @S209 deserves a like commission from a few members here, myself included.
Ok... here goes:

1) Should posts be promoted to increase Like counts?

2) I believe every thought out, well written, post deserves likes.

3) I believe every thought out, well written, post deserves likes.

4) @CountValentine has a valid argument that the vast majority of DDF and specifically JS are utterly pointless and seriously why should I care about post counts in general?

3) post count may be an indicator of reputation.

4) ok, but we have a thread for that
Quote or engagement  equals full throated endorsement and vote!

This forum is not where I'd go to find clarity :)
Is there a clever way to solicit likes without sounding like a classless wannabee?

My points in bold.

In short, my thoughts:

- The overall layout is pretty perfect. Going with Suave-example-style instead of SMF/FT/etc would be horrible.
- People come to the forums for information, not too look at pretty tiles and crap. There should be absolutely zero dead space. DDF now does a great job of packing in the content - don't screw with that.
- DDF now is not that complicated. If you can't figure out how to bold text you should probably stick to DDFB.

Upgrades I personally feel would be worth it:

- DD-side image hosting, but with the ability to embed remaining
- Draft auto-save (How has this not been mentioned yet? I'm sure everyone here has at one point lost a post. I know I've had several TRs disappear before I learned to constantly copy and paste into a text doc or something)
- Better deal organization
- Everything else is peanuts and just not worth it.

At the end of the day, I feel that there are three basic requirements here:

1. Change should only happen if significant benefits to the user are added.
2. Overall look and layout should remain similar to the existing.
3. No existing content or functionality should be lost.

If all three of those are not met, I vote stick to what we have.

Hey no stalking!
I was looking at old threads and came across the one on Megilas Lester. You happened to have posted there. I was NOT reviewing your posts!

Don't expect it to help but will post it anyway.
Neither the executive order nor the Judge's ruling was about denying Jewish kids their religious environment of choice. The Order was not aimed at frum camps or religion. It was a public health decision which happened to impact on us too. Nothing more.

Keep in mind the old joke - the difference between Hashem and a Federal District Court Judge is that Hashem does not think that he is a Federal District Court Judge.

Would help for people like me who try avoiding certain threads.
