Items That Lost Their Hechsher

Ordered some Ciao Bella sorbet with Whole Foods delivery and was surprised that there was no OU on the package (the image online had an OU).

Turns out they're not kosher anymore :(

But that's why you need to check every time.

But you can still get a refund. Never done for missing kosher certification, but I've done for horsehair brushes that were made in China but the online photo showed a different origin.

OU is very strict about these things, pays to email them if you haven't already.

Many agencies publish monthly/ quarterly lists of Newly Certified and No longer certified items / companies.

They also have an alerts section on website

I dont know if this If this is the case with that specific product but the OU did put out an alert that there are many companies dropping their hechsherim due to hardships they are facing from covid and you should therefore be extra vigilant with double checking for a hechsher during this time.
