Did JetBlue use this as a way to devalue all their points?
It used to worth a standard of approx 1.5cpp. Many flights I'm searching now only give a value of about 1cpp

I saw that post, I'm talking about even the "traditional" redemption to use only points the value also seems to have gone way down. For example JFK-PDX July 9 is $384 cash or 35,600 points

Seems like the closer to the travel date the less the points are worth. Was it always like that? I dont book that often but I dont recall it being that way

Are you comparing to basic or blue.

Another example:
JFK-LAX:
July 9: $294 vs 24.7k value 1.19
July 16: $239 vs 17.6k value 1.36

Yup, long been the case that the more expensive the ticket is, the lower the value is.

I was also surprised by this a year and a half ago. I think it should be pointed out in posts that discuss Trueblue points. "Higher priced tickets will result in lower value per point", or something like that.
