british surcharges one way to london which for a long time were stable at $93, recently dropped to $64, however today have jumped up to $229 !!   american passes that on, however on business class where british charge $500 + american only charge $279

for those interested ba surcharges ow to london have dropped back down to 64 [from the 229 its been the last few weeks].  btw when you use the ba chase card you get the whole 100 back, leaving you with 36 credit.

actually on aa.com has it dropped on ba.com its still showing 229. i assume will be updated, they normally go in tandem

Charge using Avios one-way TLV-LHR is USD 59 in Y and USD 67 in C.
LHR-TLV is much more expensive (esp in C) due to UK taxes.

now finally 64 on both ba [final screen, first says 180] and aa.com  [qantas still charge 224]
