keeping a low profile may be a good idea, but that has nothing to do with masks and disease spreading.
masks is a "machlokes haposkim" by the goyim just as well as by the jews. whichever side u seem to take, the anti semites on both sides are sure to take it as a provocation. their lists of nonsensical excuses for their hatred is non ending.
same for all the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-hating_Jew on and off of ddf

I don't think "masks is a "machlokes haposkim" by the goyim" at all.
The politicians may debate whether or not to mandate mask wearing, but I dont recall any legitimate scientific side that advocated against mask wearing.
In any case, if you're in a local where it's mandated or advised, "keeping a low profile" includes wearing a mask -especially if you're asked to.

u can call it whatever u want, but fact is that about half of US citizens are gonna vote for a man who until basically forced to, refused to wear a mask.
and he isnt jewish.
but of course the jews are to blame, as said so eloquently (spelling mistakes in original) by one of our own:
For hundreds of years jews have been blamed for pandemics and for spreading disease, based on the way certain segments of the Frum communities are behaving maybe there are right.
u may be right that "if you're in a local where it's mandated or advised, "keeping a low profile" includes wearing a mask -especially if you're asked to", but the same would then apply to if u are in a local of "anti maskers" keeping a low profile would require u to remove youre mask.
meaning that being in galus has nothing to do with wearing masks, it just means תתכופף ותחכה עד שהגל יעבור

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine: Bring the attackers of Jewish youth to justice
Ambassador Joel Leon meets local officials, Breslov representatives in Uman, calls for justice after young Hasid attacked.

The staff of the Israeli Embassy in Ukraine, led by Ambassador Joel Leon, visited the city of Uman Wednesday in order to take a closer look at the preparations for the Rosh Hashanah holiday and against the backdrop of the anti-Semitic attack against a young Jewish man yesterday.

During their visit, they met with the district governor, the mayor, representatives of the police, the hospitals and the emergency organizations in Uman. A meeting was also and held with the heads of the Breslov Hasidic movement in the city.

In the meeting with the district governor, it was agreed to open a direct channel between the governor and the ambassador to address issues that may arise during the holidays and the annual mass pilgrimage to the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in the city of Uman. Representatives of the Breslov Hasidim presented their preparations for Rosh Hashanah to the ambassador.

Ambassador Leon said following the visit: "We consider it important to hold a meeting with the authorities in the city of Uman, in order to coordinate the activities of all bodies in the city. I asked the city authorities to deal resolutely with the anti-Semitic incidents and bring to justice Moshe Tanzer's attackers."

Following violent incidents in recent days between Uman residents and Hasidim, local police have decided to deploy 500 police officers across the city in order to prevent similar incidents.

there are tens of land border crossings. they went from crossing to crossing looking for someone willing to take a bribe. in regular days it wouldnt take more than 1 or 2, but because of the high profile situation, the govt put "watchdogs" at many crossings to make sure the regular guards dont take bribes. u either have to find a weak spot, or bribe the watchdog

Maybe I should have been more specific, i was referring to legal crossing borders such as KBP.
