That the market and unemployment improved big time, nothing else!!!

Yes, that's the recovery I'm talking about. It happened at the slowest pace in history.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

What are you using as a yardstick?
Can't be the market or unemployment.

Obama inherited a recession, by the very nature of the ups and downs economy we should have had a booming recovery but instead we ended up with the slowest recovery in history. Trump inherited a bull market which we had experts telling us for years that it was ready to crash. Even with Coronavirus the economy is bouncing right back to where it was, and don't forget most of the market crash was directly caused by the extended shutdowns enacted by Democratic governors.
Come on. So Obama did well, but should've done better. Trump maintained status quo, but without him it would've detoriated. Do you really not see your bias?

I openly admit I deplore Trump and that leads me to see fault in everything he does, but just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't trying to kill me.

You can spin it however you want, the fact is the market will turn itself around regardless
Tell that to Japan...  Bush saved the economy by bailing out the banks. Everybody since him is just reaping the fruit of that bull run.

I too deplore Trump, but the alternative is exponentially worse. All of that notwithstanding, never forget לב מלכים ושרים ביד השם

Reading the following tweet brought this thread to mind

Obama did not do well, at the very least he slowed down the recovery.

Does he get credit for the market or unemployment?

No. Unemployment dropped despite him, not because of him.

I personally benefit from Obamacare, but I still think it is a disastrous act (and proved a huge disappointment with Chief Justice Roberts).

I don’t have numbers in front of me, but I do remember that Trump was creating Jobs months before he was in office. But I guess we can give Obama credit for all the “shovel ready” jobs he created 😂

Can we just settle the science and determine that the POTUS has very little effect on the economy, regardless of who is in office. (Last I checked it was congress that holds the strings to the purse).

And the fact that so many years have passed since 2008 and there hasn't been a major infrastructure bill, is a huge indictment of everyone in Washington IMHO.

Not when a Kool-Aid drinkers wants to give one POTUS credit but not the other. Especially when the one he does not want to give credit for has better numbers.

The majority of this country drinks Kool-aid, it's just different flavors at different times.

Do you not think that all the deregulation that Trump passed ( a lot by executive order) did not directly help the economy?

With a Democrat senate appearing possible if not likely, will we see the D's packing SCOTUS?

Personally I don't think so, the threat of packing is enough to keep the court in line.

A national mask mandate and giant stimulus bill are probably coming. What will a democrat health bill look like?
