No matter how you slice it most Americans understand Israel is our only true ally in the area. I don't see that changing.
I'm not the slightest bit concerned about the US stopping to consider itself an ally of Israel, but I do think Democrats will be more brazen in their dissents on other issues when they don't have to fear a tyrannical, vengeful party head. Also, Republican extremists are mostly yearning to stick to the past without change, which is relatively similar, but democrats are pandering to different progressive extremes who are much more likely to clash with each other
