Does anyone know how to use the shareable gift cards? I sent it to my friends but they get an error saying that "this gift isn't for you.."..

I got that on 1 out of 6 gifts. Never figured out how to fix it.

Anyone confirmed that buying dell egift cards from dell.cashstar.com counts?

Does the CC charge show up as Dell? Isn't CashStar a 3rd partythat just sells Dell GCs?

Just got one of the gift I was missing.  It is a $25 statement credit when I shop $25 or more at BB&B.  So.... I could buy another $25 gc, get a gift and get a statement credit?!  Does that make sense?

I guess that's a better way to phrase my question. I know it appears to be a third party handling the order, but the links directly from Dell's site for an egift card go to cashstar's site. I'm guessing it processes via cashstar as well, but I was hoping someone might know otherwise.

Plastic cards can be bought directly from Dell, but in $50 minimums...

I just got this message after making a purchase at BBB
Quote
Congratulations! The next time you shop at you
will receive a $25 Off Next Purchase, courtesy of The Gift Chain from American

Express.

Simply use your registered American Express® Card again at
to make a minimum purchase of $
by no later than February 29th, 2012, and you will receive a $ credit on your Card statement. It's that easy.

It doesn't clarify which store or how much needs to be spent? Nor does it say which purchase triggered the gift.

UPdate; Now I got the standard Gift EMail  saying that my purchase at BBB earned me a $20 statement credit?

It's for shopping at BBB.  I'm not sure if there's a minimum spend.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Saw my update? I also got a regular gift email.

I saw doublejay   report this happening too. I wonder if it was triggered by the fact that I bought at BBB after getting a gift for $25 credit after $25 spend at BBB???

did anybody try buying at a store after getting the gift for a statement credit after purchase? Was there a notification that you'll get the credit?

Also got the e-mail for $25 statement credit at BB&B, bought another gc for $25, got the same e-mail as you with the blanks, and then a second e-mail with a $25 statement credit.

was the second email a new gift or confirmation for the previous gift?

I just bought a Jcrew giftcard expecting a $15 credit earned from a previous gift and lo and behold

I think we find the trigger for these blank emails.

Also in both cases I got another email with the standard gift language. i doesn't make sense that the blankn ones are actually gifts because then I my total gifts would be 12, They're probably messed up confirmations for earning the statement credit with the purchase.

It seems to be a new gift.  Why shouldn't it be?  The previous gift was a $25 statement credit after spending $25 at BB&B.  This is just a $25 statement credit.

Wal-mart is done.  I made a purchase and got a $2 statement credit, which is only available from the rollover pool, which are only awarded when the store's pool is exhausted.

I guess what they meant by time seeding was that they "shuffled" the pool of gifts and gave them away in that order.

If anyone else gets something _other_ than a $2 sc, that would contradict what it says in the rules (see below, last sentence).

Also, if anyone gets a $2 statement credit from another store, post it here so we know that store is done.

>>>
...Gifts in each Qualifying Merchant Gift Pool are randomly time seeded throughout the Promotion Period and distributed to the first person who completes a Qualifying Purchase and/or a Free Participation (as applicable) for the applicable Qualifying Merchant on or after the time the Gift is randomly seeded. Once the randomly seeded Gifts are exhausted in a particular Qualifying Merchant Gift Pool, “Rollover Gifts” will be distributed. The Rollover Gifts will only be available to be distributed in a particular Qualifying Merchant Gift Pool when, and if, a particular Qualifying Merchant Gift Pool has been exhausted....

Ya. Although I just realized that Toysrus, Dell and Walmart have much more $$ being given out than the smaller ones.

Thanks MarkS!

Toys 'R Us (hereafter TRU) has the 2nd biggest prize pool, and while Walmart is dead TRU is very much alive!

I just got 4x$50 via TRU, pity I didn't do more TRU purchases...

Should a go for another 10x$25 TRU?
