CAN MOTHER VISIT FROM England, I am a resident (not citizen)

thanks. trying to decipher from information if my mother will be able to come here for rosh hoshona. they have stopped entry for UK but if someone has immediate family member i think its different she has an esta visa (?) and she is parent not kid of a US resident. anyone know the facts? I believe your in the wrong thread, but my understanding is when coming by plane to us their less strict then when coming in by ground.

I don't know the answer to the question, but Rosh Hashana is about 11 weeks away, and a lot can change by then...

That's true but my mother already cancelled her pesach plans to come and she is sooo wanting to know, at least now what the situation is.

Yo ssi means to say that currently at the ground borders i.e. the US-Canada border and the US-Mexico border they are stricter than at the airports. I advise you get in touch with Agudas Yisroel, they will have more detail.
In any event, as you know, the situation is fluid and it's anyones guess what will be in a week, forget about what will be for RH.
As was stated on these boards many times before Pesach, be prepared to stay home, that your travel plans may fall through.

At any rate, are you a legal resident - Green card holder? If not I doubt that they will let your mother in to visit her illegal undocumented immigrant daughter.

Yes in first post I implied she is the mother of a us resident. Ie green card.  Also my question is now, like right now, i think there are certain laws. Like if one has an immediate family member that's a US resident. But when i looked it up it showed a spouse or child. But i thought i had seen once that a parent can enter too.
