I booked tickets online Air Canada in December to spend Pesach in Israel. Covid happened and on March 20 AC cancelled our tickets. I submitted fo a refund on March 29th stating Israeli law requiring refund. I received a denial on June 5 with the email below - What do I have to do? While I might be able to use my ticket at some distant point in the future, one of the tickets I purchased is for my daughter who will not be able to use it for at least 5 years. Is there any recourse?

What has changed?
You can make a one-time change without a fee for all new or existing bookings made through June 30, 2020 for original travel between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.

How to process a cancellation
For bookings that are cancelled on or after June 1, 2020 and for travel after March 1, 2020, you will be able to immediately access our new cancellation options including the Air Canada Travel Voucher and Aeroplan Miles.
For bookings cancelled prior to June 1, 2020 and for travel after March 1, 2020, you will be able to access our new cancellation options as of June 15, 2020. We appreciate your patience while we upgrade our systems to make these options available to you.

Terms and conditions:
• Ticket must be issued on or before June 30, 2020.
• For original travel between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
• If you need to change any flight, your new travel must be completed by June 30, 2022. No change fee will apply.
• Booking can be changed or cancelled up to 2 hours prior to departure.
• If your original travel dates were between March 1, 2019 and February 29, 2020, the change fee, name change fee, and fare difference will all apply.
• Refundable tickets will be refunded as per the fare rules; a cancellation fee may still apply.
