That is true of most countries in the world, but IIRC the President of Brazil is vocally against masks and has withheld mask legislation. I don’t believe it’s true and would need to see a source to convince me.

Brazil had mandatory masks across many states, the strictest laws worldwide, and the president vetoed specific parts of the nationwide law, doesn't change that most the country has been diapered up for 2 months before their outbreak.

Yes the CDC study does help. Now after they have learned more about this virus they recommend wearing masks because they help.
You now have produced two sources that have updated their guidance to wearing masks.
You choose to ignore this and go with outdated information.
Now that is your chose to ignore current facts but just don't keep claiming they say masks don't work.

Masks is not about taking sides. It is about stopping the virus which will save lives. The sad part is the ones who make this about taking sides, AKA political.

There have been tons of studies posted to show wearing masks help. The only two you posted now say to wear masks.

All I see is the vanilla law that they and every other country in the world has regarding face masks, but every article notes the high rate of noncompliance.. where have you seen that mask usage has been in effect, and at a higher rate than elsewhere? Masks are or were mandatory in most countries worldwide, with varying levels of compliance.

On the contrary, Brazil is infamous for their lax approach in combatting the virus (like the US).

Also, can we agree on the previous two points, that
1) Masks obviously work to lower transmission and
2) Most European and Asian countries have contained the virus without being devastated?
