I hate everything about cancel culture. This isn't that. Someone espousing Nazi ideology should expect for those who do business with them to want as much distance as possible when those beliefs come to light. What Cannon said was the Black version of the Nazi's white supremacy ideology. You can't call all white people savages and expect them to want to do business with you.

I, for one, am sick of cancel culture. The world is full of Anti-semites. Some of them, no matter how hard we try, will still be anti-semites. Others are just ignorant.

Obviously, I don't know how we could "fix" the former, but as for the latter - if we cancel them, we're effectively turning them into bigger anti-semites, rather than making them realize the error in their ways. If someone is in that latter group, we should educate them, invite them to learn more, why the stereotypes that they've been promoting are wrong.

Imagine DeSean Jackson's comments after the Holocaust Museum trip? Imagine if Nick Cannon goes on his podcast and says I was wrong to say what I did, and Jews are good people and suffer from discrimination just like we do.

Farrakhan popular with the blacks? If you didn't know this you need to get out more.

If we're going to have hard conversations about racism in this country, Farhakkan needs to be towards the top of that list.

Is it not something we don't like? It's not like he called for the extermination of Jews, they were talking about your run of the mill Jewish conspiracy theories. You can't lump every disparaging comment about a Jew into the same category. And yes, I don't believe we should vilify him for what he said. We should call it out and respond with the reasons why he's wrong. If you really think that Nick Cannon is a villain for what he said, what does that make people who actually call for the killing of Jews? Just more evil villains?

I find it troubling that on this forum I find myself in a position where I feel it necessary to defend someone who made anti-Semitic comments. Can we not all agree that anti-Semitism is bad and should be called out for exactly what it is, while at the same time not lumping every person who has ever said something anti-Semitic in the same category as Farrakhan? People say stupid things all the time out of ignorance, we should take those opportunities to educate and enlighten, not cancel people. Why is it wrong for someone we like to get canceled but ok for someone we don't like to get canceled?
