This is pretty exciting. Asides for the possibility of price wars, this also means that Hyatt status will give you at least temporary benefits on AA, Alaska and on JetBlue.
Maybe this will make the current offer of AA lifetime status through cc spend, more valuable.

with the jet blue Code share agreement, when i purchase a flight on an AA route thru Jet blue will mosaic have all their  benefits on the flight? (Ex: 2 Bags  free, cancellation, day of flying changes.)

TBD, though no chance for free cancellations.

Either 77W or 789, IMHO.

77W is for ultra-premium flagship routes only.

Seems hard to believe they would launch a route with it, though that would give them a distinct competitive advantage that DL/LY/UA can't match with F class.

I'd think 772 over 77W.

789 certainly makes sense, though previously the route was 332. Really could go any way.

You might be right about the launch, but if they know what's good for them and they want to grab marketshare and loyalty, launching it as an ultra-premium flagship route might make sense, especially over the ruins of LY.

You're probably right, I was more simplistic in that United is giving the route their best, so AA would match. Though if LY and UA are both flying 787s, AA would probably, too, because to the average person the "Dreamliner" brand of a newer plane is more attractive.

There is no way Elal is leaving the NY market. Even if Elal shrinks it will be to Europe (where they cannot compete on pricing). They will never stop flying to NY and when the skies open again Elal will be flying 2-3 times a day to NY.

As long as they can fill those planes.

Being based Israel LY was the most logical choice for me with direct flights to Europe, Asia and all over US.

But with the AA launch, when corporate travel eventually restart I'm seriously considering dropping LY and switch to OneWorld, provided they add enough capacity to NY.

To LHR.
Star Alliance does not have direct flight.
And OneWorld has BA to LHR, but didn't have flight to NY until now (i.e 2021)

Wondering now if Star Alliance (United), Skyteam (Delta) & now OneWorld (AA) all have TLV-NYC flights, when LY does start flying again which airline with they partner with?

Seems like Alaska is the only partnership LY has left...
A LY - Southwest partnership would be nice but Southwest does not fly to EWR or JFK  :)

For a partnership to make sense they need someone with a strong presence at JFK which leaves you with JetBlue or Delta. Which one of those could it be?

but none of those work now.
LY used be with Jetblue but if now if AA is teaming up with Jetblue then for LY it won't work.
I would think this is a huge blow for LY. I wonder if this will cause LY to rethink where they fly to. They need EWR & JFK but I wonder if this cause LY to switch to start flying to new airports...

LY without JFK is like a meatless burger or a no-cheese pizza (or as some would say Parve Cholent ;)) just worse.
