Names that I have seen get tricky, again everything can be researched in the Sanzer ruvs sefer on names..

Pesil (does it come with a yid or not)
Fradil (does it come with an alef or a yid <third letter>)
Perel (does it come with a yid or not)
Etel (does it come with a yid or not)

etc etc can get very tricky

Perla is probably one of the trickiest, especially since it exists in both Ashkenazi and Sefardi customs and is spelled differently. What if the husband is Ashkenazi, the wife is Sefardi and the Beis Din is one or the other... Not simple.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Could it be a variant of Shoshana or Susanna?  I searched on stevemorse.org, restricting it to female, Jewish immigrants.  Instead of the name IS Tzizinu, I selected SOUNDS LIKE.  From the results, these sound like the closest names given by Jewish Russian immigrants, 3- and 2-syllables:

Schischana
Schoischano
Susanne
Susanna
Chaisina
Cjusine
Chouchana
Chijene
Chassine
Chisini
Sziszano
Scheisini

Scheicne
Chesne
Jesna
Czesna
Chouzin
Sisne

I agree with the suggestion upthread that if you can trace your ancestor names, you might find a grandmother or aunt or cousin with a similar-sounding name.

Attention mods. Can the thread title be corrected to "Correct spelling of Yiddish names" rather than "Yiddish translation please!" to better reflect the content of the thread.

right. because names need to be spelled in the hebrew language, not in the yiddish language.
You don't write "Leib" or "Chaim" on a kesuba, you write ליב or חיים

Right & if you write for example feiga with 2 yid’s or with a hei at the end the get might not be good. Kidushin is easier & less complicated

Another note that I guess is debatable but to my knowledge other than the name Chaim (double yid) all are single yud
As I once heard Avraham Fried say at a concert:

“Mayim has one yud, because when a yid is alone, he drinks water.
Chaim has two yiddelach, because when two yidden drink together, it needs to be a l’chaim!“

(He then proceeded to take a swig of what was ostensibly whiskey but looked suspiciously like water from my vantage point)
